PSL youth team tryouts info - Updated October 6th, 2017:

We have recently learned that at US Lacrosse’s recommendation, WPYLA (W.PA Youth Lacrosse Association) will likely be moving from the “odd-year” player segmentation (i.e – U13, U11, U9) to an “even year” (i.e. – U14, U12, U10, U8) player segmentation format for the 2018 spring season.  This will mean that certain younger age groups will not be playing full-field (10 v 10) games this spring and will move to one of several options for “small-sided/smaller fields” (i.e. - 6 v 6 with no goalies, no faceoffs, 65-yard long fields) game formats.  WPYLA is planning to hold a membership meeting in early November so we will learn more after that meeting.

This may also impact tournament play formats for these younger teams so, until this issue is fully resolved, we have decided to cancel this Sunday’s PSL U13 and U11 tryouts at SPFH and will reschedule them at a later date

For more information on player segmentation please visit www.USLacrosse.org or go here: https://www.uslacrosse.org/players/player-segmentation

and https://www.uslacrosse.org/rules/boys-rules

Thank you for your understanding and patience while the local youth lax community and tournament organizers resolve these revised player segmentation and resulting game format issues.
